Welcome and Wonder
I have always dedicated myself to creating a safe and inclusive environment in the classroom. And I've discovered that the foundation for this begins before students step through the door. It may have taken me a while to realize, but I've compiled 68 uplifting sayings that go beyond just individual mindsets and tap into the power of community: Daily Door Inspiration: Thoughts to Propel Us Forward. This incredible resource combines timeless wisdom from those who have paved the way with captivating words, visuals, and design. But here's the best part: you can project these daily inspirations and kickstart your class with a bit of writing. How about having your students weigh in on the pros and cons of each statement? Or encourage them in brainstorming and have them provide specific evidence either supporting or challenging the quotation. Students (even faculty) can use these statements as prompts for personal journaling. The possibilities are endless!--and we can build skills. |
